Digital public consultation event to update residents on the ‘Story so far continued’. A booklet on the work done to date and recorded presentations are available to view ahead of a digital consultation hosted by members of the project team.

ERSG workshop six (online) to discuss heights and massing, including reviewing density, location of building footprint and where heights could be located around the scheme.
ERSG workshop five (online) to discuss landscaping around the site and how it could be best addressed in the future proposals, including review on provision of green space, trees, planting, paving, pinch points and the MUGA.
Digital audit is undertaken with ERSG members to understand their capacity to continue consultation remotely.
Test presentation is held with ERSG members to show participants how the online consultation system will work, review how the presentation is viewed by participants and listen to input on how to proceed.
ERSG Workshop three to discuss pedestrian and vehicular access and carparking and how these might be best addressed in the future proposals, including pros and cons of on-street and basement parking.

Consultation activity is temporarily put on hold due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Government restrictions on public gatherings.
ERSG workshop two to discuss current non-residential uses in Brayford Square (e.g. the carers centre, the pharmacy, the doctor’s surgery) and establish the views on the facilities.

Over 70 young people from the Exmouth Estate graduate from Swan’s Think Big programme, promoting careers in regeneration, planning and construction.

The creation of the ERSG which seeks to ensure all residents across the estate have a meaningful say on development.
ERSG welcome session outlining the purpose and dates of future meetings. Members vote for their choice of Independent Resident Liaison Advisor to chair the meetings.
ERSG introductory session whereby the design team introduced themselves and gave examples of projects they had worked on previously.
Door-to-door survey asking residents what they think about the estate and inviting residents to join Exmouth Residents’ Steering Group (ERSG). Swan gets young people to ‘Think Big’ about the design and the future of the Estate.
Swan meets with the Exmouth Residents Board to talk about the vision and the planned engagement process. Swan engages with the residential tenants/leaseholders and commercial tenants on Brayford Square.
